Kerabit 5000 TOP FR

Kerabit 5000 TOP is a torchable (K-PS 220/5000 torch-on) top membrane of product category 2 for multi-layer roofing. The product is suitable for use with structures featuring a bitumen-laminated PIR thermal insulation with a fully attached TL 2 underlay membrane (Kerabit Base or Kerabit 3000 U). There is no need for a bearing layer of wool between PIR insulation and the underlay membrane, enabling faster installation. 

Kerabit 5000 TOP FR has a reinforced polyester felt as a carrier. The bottom surface of the product features modified torch-on bitumen, and the top surface slate granules.

The product colour is grey. Kerabit 5000 TOP FR is made to order.

Handling and storage

Modified bitumen membranes are stored on pallets in a dry and cool place in an upright position. The rolls must be protected with plastic hoods or tarps. In temperatures over +40 °C, the rolls must be stored away from sunlight.

The product is used as a top membrane for multi-layer roofing.
